Winnie The Pooh

Hey everybody. This is winnie. you may all remember him, either from the traditional books, or the more recent disney movies. this image was referrenced off of a disney picture, so yeah, oh well.

first off, i have this as digital art, because the only stuff i didn't do on the computer was the line art, which was super sketchy anyway. The coloring took me about 2 or 3 hours, because after finishing the coloring, my computer died and i lost the progress i had made on lighting, so he was restored to a monotone image, which i couldn't stand for. So i had to do it all again, and, being my second time doing something so time consuming, i rushed it. As the image that i used for referrence was monotone, the lighting you see, all of it, was more or less my own creation, which i won't say i'm not proud of. ^_^ anyway, i used a shaded image for the colors, sorta, though at this point i can't remember whether i ended up using those colors, or if i simply improvised, after realising i had not the skills required to make it look airbrushed using only the little tablet like thing on my Laptop. It was really frustrating, because i ended up doing a lot of it free hand, just the burn and dodge tools, no boundries or anything, so some of it's pretty sloppy. anyway, i'm fairly happy with how it came out, just, i'm sorta ticked at some of my line art, it's sloppy, i needed to think about it more before scanning. oh well, it's in the past.

finally, this is a birthday picture for my pops. when i told him i'd do a picture for him, i knew i'd have to put a shitload of work into it. but i had NO IDEA what to draw. So i thought . . . . HMMMM i wonder what to draw. Pretty simple thinking, ne? nevertheless, i've been reading "When we were very young", and pooh has been slightly on my mind. I also felt i needed to do a picture of him, or eeyore, or maybe tigger, but as i tried eeyore (who's my fav of the three), i failed miserably, so i moved on to trying pooh, and that worked out great (see pooh sketch, which i posted last night) so i did this one. I wonder if he'll like it ^_^
